The past week has seen several FRL teams announce their manufacturer choice and driver lineups for the coming season of FRL racing, which kicks off September 9th at Yas Marina. A relatively short pre-season of preparation is rapidly reaching its conclusion with four teams announcing their lineups for this new season of racing.
Maestri Brothers Racing return for Season 8 with their two drivers, Ethan Maestri in the #3 and Paul Maestri in the #33. MBR announced this past week their partnership with Mercedes AMG to run the GT R for the season. The #3 rolls out a livery reminiscent of AMG's glory days with McLaren F1, while the #33 carries on the Red Bull tradition in a strikingly bold livery.
4 of 7 Racing, headed by driver Tony Tyree for nearly two years, now adds another driver to the stable becoming a two car effort for the coming season. Brandon Adkins leaves AFX Racing to join the 4 of 7 team in his #8 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 with Tony running the #47 number plate on his Z06.
Chris Rader, and his notorious band of merrymakers and sycophants, return to the FRL garage area as well. They bring with them, not just the aroma of fine cognac and a light dusting of glitter, but a real challenge to the order in the form of a partnership with McLaren and an understated but regal looking 570S.
Among the first drivers to announce for the season was Bryan Dean. He makes a return to American muscle with a rakish looking #808 Viper GTS. Gone are the hot pink and startling purples of past liveries, a maturing of design tastes is evident in his orange and green livery that promotes the legend of his cars nameplate.
The season begins at Yas Marina and is less than two weeks away! We'll look forward to further announcements and keep you updated on them here.
