Schedule, Amendments & Various Sundries

We have a few details to enter for the series that you will want to keep track of.

First, the schedule is to race Maple Valley on the 14th, this week. This will leave the next two weeks in February open for testing and a Time-Attack Challenge.

Second, a change is being allowed to the current Mazda MX-5 race car configuration. You may now add full race (adjustable) sway bars to the front and rear of your car. You may now add a Street level driveline to your car. This keeps the class rating at D347, but allows for limited adjustments to the cars handling.

Third, The Time-Attack Challenge announced this morning will be a Hot Lap run around the full Nurburgring. This will be done from a standing start (meaning you enter the track and run one lap only, your second, third, etc. laps will not be counted). If you have made a full speed run of the ring and it is posted to the leaderboard, you will need to save a replay of your standing start run for review.

All lap times will be counted, clean or dirty. However, if someone else's clean lap time is slower than your dirty lap, the slower clean lap wins. It would be appreciated, but not necessary, if you would save a replay of your official scored lap. You can submit that replay to Myopiceagl3 for review and distribution.

Car class details for the Time-Attack are as follows:

Any Asian make or model
FF or FR only (no AWD or mid-engine types)
A600 class limit, any configuration or tune (at or under A600)

Entries will be closed on March 1st and the winner will be announced shortly after. A prize will be awarded to the Time-Attack winner at the close of Season 2 along with the Season Points Champion and Rookie of the Year (Mar. 28th).
