Joplin, MO - 1/28/2016 - In an eleventh hour decision, Maestri Brothers Racing announced today a manufacturer switch. In a statement released by the team this morning, driver Ethan Maestri expounded on the change. "Our relationship with Audi Sport was good, but we couldn't shake the feeling that there were still some key components missing in our development and we just weren't making any further progress. Our Audi's were fast, but we needed more than that. Paul began talking with the SRT guys and recommended a test session. As we began to compare the data from both cars it became pretty clear we needed to change cars. We might not be the fastest cars on the track, but the stability and handling that we've gained with Viper is going to allow us to be a presence from Green flag to Checker."
The season begins Jan. 31st at Circuit of the America's.
